Aren't Latter-day Saints Christians?
Latter-day Saints love the name of Jesus and many follow him sincerely. The question is whether the Jesus and the gospel taught by the Church are the Jesus and the gospel of the Bible.
Paul warned of another Jesus and a different gospel. The test is not sincerity, morality or the name on the building; it is who Jesus is and how a person is made right with God. A Jesus who is a created spirit brother, and a gospel of exaltation through ordinances and covenants, differ from the Bible at its centre.
We say this with respect. Many Latter-day Saints are kinder neighbours than many churchgoers. Our concern is the teaching, and the hope that every Latter-day Saint will meet the Jesus of the Bible.
4For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we didn’t preach, or if you receive a different spirit which you didn’t receive, or a different “good news” which you didn’t accept, you put up with that well enough.

6I marvel that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ to a different “good news”, 7but there isn’t another “good news.” Only there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the Good News of Christ. 8But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you any “good news” other than that which we preached to you, let him be cursed.
